Beşiktaş police conduct drone-supported night inspections

Beşiktaş District Police Department conducted a two-hour drone-supported security and traffic inspection on the night of August 28-29. A total of 35 police teams were deployed across several areas, including Ortaköy, Etiler, Levent, Bebek Park, and Kuruçeşme.

During the operation, authorities performed identity checks on 872 individuals and inspected 147 vehicles and 22 businesses. The enforcement resulted in the apprehension of five individuals with active warrants, one missing person, and one foreign national subject to a deportation order. Additionally, three suspects were processed for drug possession after 15.29 grams of substances were seized.

Regarding business and traffic violations, seven establishments were cited for allowing indoor smoking, and one retailer was penalized for selling alcohol after 22:00. Traffic enforcement led to administrative fines totaling 209,720 Turkish Lira for 26 vehicles, alongside legal action against a driver found to be operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of 1.17 promil.
