Beşiktaş threatens legal action against commentator Ibrahim Kutluai

Beşiktaş basketball club has issued a formal condemnation of commentator Ibrahim Kutluai following his remarks regarding the signing of Lonnie Walker IV. The club alleges that Kutluai attempted to imply the transfer was based on non-professional, subjective criteria rather than merit.

Specifically, Kutluai suggested that the shared nationality between head coach Dušan Alibegović and the player's agent played a role in the recruitment process. Beşiktaş has demanded that Kutluai either provide documented evidence to support these claims or issue a public apology. The club stated that if a public apology is not forthcoming, they will petition the EuroLeague administration to impose sanctions.
