Beinasco tops Piedmont in speed‑camera fine revenue, ahead of Turin

An analysis of 2024 traffic‑camera penalties in Piedmont shows that the municipality of Beinasco, on the outskirts of Turin, collected the highest amount, €2,321,176. It was followed by Collegno (€1,723,168) and Rivoli (€1,410,520), while the regional capital Turin ranked fourth with €1,394,189. The wider Metropolitan City of Turin reported €2,026,798 in revenue from speed‑limit violations.

Provincial totals highlighted Asti (€8,647,489), Alessandria (€5,922,322), Cuneo (€2,810,031) and Vercelli (€1,463,128). Overall, nearly €40 million in speed‑related fines were paid last year. ISTAT data for June‑August 2025 recorded 2,706 road accidents with injuries in Piedmont, underscoring concerns that excessive speed remains a major cause of summer traffic crashes.
