Beit Shemesh stabbing: Two children injured by suspected neighbor
Two children, aged 4 and 9, were stabbed in Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem, on Monday. The 9-year-old sustained critical injuries to the neck and throat and required resuscitation during transport to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The 4-year-old suffered chest wounds and was taken to the hospital in serious but conscious condition.
A suspect, identified as a neighbor believed to be experiencing mental health issues, was arrested at the scene. The children's father discovered them wounded in their yard and alerted emergency services.
