Beja school inaugurates Specialized Technological Centers

The Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Fernando Alexandre, inaugurated two Specialized Technological Centers (CTE) at Escola D. Manuel I in Beja on Friday, September 11. The new centers focus on the Industrial and Informatics sectors.

These facilities aim to modernize professional and technological education by bridging the gap between classroom learning and the needs of the business sector. The project involved an investment of approximately two million euros to rehabilitate spaces and install equipment designed to help students develop technical skills, critical thinking, and adaptability to technological changes.

Maria José Chagas, director of the Agrupamento de Escolas n.º 2, described the centers as an “indispensable bridge between the classroom and the business fabric,” ensuring students acquire competencies aligned with current professional demands and technological evolution.
