Beja to host 22nd National Meeting of Youth Associations

The city of Beja will host the 22nd National Meeting of Youth Associations (ENAJ) on November 21 and 22, 2026. Organized by the National Federation of Youth Associations (FNAJ) in partnership with the Municipality of Beja, the event marks the return of the meeting to the Alentejo region after twelve years.

More than 650 young people from approximately 200 associations nationwide are expected to attend. Under the theme ‘Impact of Associativism on Communities,’ the gathering focuses on the role of youth associations in mobilizing people, navigating digital transformation, and finding new funding models. The event also commemorates the 30th anniversary of the FNAJ.

The program includes institutional sessions featuring Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Margarida Balseiro Lopes, alongside practical workshops known as ENAJ Labs. These labs will cover topics such as artificial intelligence in association management, entrepreneurship, and social media. The weekend will conclude with a plenary session regarding the future of youth public policies.
