Bekasi City promotes sports culture through public space use

The Bekasi City Government is promoting a culture of sports by utilizing public spaces to encourage a healthier lifestyle among its citizens. During the opening of the 2026 Bekasi City Community Sports Festival (FORMASKOT) at Plaza Patriot Candrabhaga, Mayor Tri Adhianto emphasized the importance of providing open spaces to accommodate the growing interest in physical activity, particularly among the youth.

Organized by the Bekasi City Community Sports Committee (KORMI), the festival aims to preserve community sports and ensure they continue to grow within the city. Officials noted that increasing the availability of sports facilities is essential to support an active lifestyle for the local population.
