Bekasi Kesbangpol urges community groups to maintain social stability

The Bekasi Regency National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) has called upon local community organizations (Ormas) to help maintain social stability following the 2026 simultaneous village head elections (Pilkades).

Acting Head of Kesbangpol Bekasi, Robert Suwandi, emphasized that community organizations play a vital role in preventing social friction and division that may arise from election-related tensions. He noted that maintaining security and order is a shared responsibility between the government, security forces, and civil society. Additionally, Suwandi urged organizations to ensure their legal registration is up to date and stated that the local government remains open to input from these groups regarding regional development.
