Bekasi police investigate sexual violence at Islamic boarding school

Police in Bekasi are expanding their investigation into a sexual violence case involving female students at an Islamic boarding school (pesantren) in South Bekasi. Muhammad Hifzhi Hazami (MHH), a 28-year-old teacher at the institution, has been named a primary suspect.

Investigators from the Polres Metro Bekasi Kota are currently questioning three additional individuals—identified by the initials HBH, F, and S—to determine their involvement or whether there was negligence in protecting the victims. Notably, one of the individuals under investigation, S, is a security guard at the pesantren. Kompol Rosdiana Sirait, head of the PPA and PPO unit, stated that the investigation aims to build a strong legal framework by examining the relationships between the suspects and the victims.
