Bekim Sali: Negotiations continue over Electoral Code adoption

Bekim Sali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, stated that efforts are underway to adopt the Electoral Code, though it remains in the negotiation phase. While the law was previously accepted by most political parties in the Assembly, two parties withdrew their support at the last moment.

Sali noted that following changes within the Ministry of Justice, there is renewed momentum to pass the code. He also confirmed that work is progressing on the Criminal Code, noting that the new Minister of Justice is committed to these reforms, which require broad consensus and multi-level support.
