Bekir Kutlar practices hike and fly paragliding in Turkey

Bekir Kutlar, a real estate consultant based in Ankara, has practiced paragliding for 11 years. He specializes in the ‘hike and fly’ sport, which involves climbing mountain peaks and then paragliding down.

Kutlar first discovered the sport in Pokhara, Nepal, during a trip in 2015. Since returning to Turkey, he has performed flights at various locations, including Erciyes, Hasan Mountain, and Süphan Mountain. He recently completed a climb to the 5,320-meter summit of Mount Ararat, though he did not fly from the peak due to a lack of equipment at the time.
