Beko Europe workers strike at Cassinetta plant over job security

Workers at the Beko Europe plant in Cassinetta di Biandronno launched a strike and held assemblies on Monday, October 12, to protest the company's industrial plan and its impact on employment.

The mobilization follows an October 8 meeting at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, which failed to produce the concrete results expected by labor representatives. Unions, including Fim-Cisl, Fiom-Cgil, and Uilm-Uil, expressed concerns that corporate reorganizations and new productivity measures are leading to job losses.

Employees are demanding greater clarity regarding the future of the Varese-based site and seeking guarantees to protect existing positions while balancing the company's production needs.
