Belarus expands economic cooperation with Uzbekistan and Russia

During the Uzbekistan-Belarus Interparliamentary Forum in Khiva, officials signed the Khiva Declaration to strengthen bilateral ties. The forum resulted in 59 direct contracts worth approximately Br420 million, covering sectors such as machinery manufacturing, food, chemicals, healthcare, tourism, and electronics. Both nations are working toward a trade turnover goal of $2 billion, following a 34 percent increase in the first half of the year.

In addition to Uzbekistan relations, Belarus continues to deepen industrial ties with Russia. In the Ulyanovsk Oblast, cooperation in aircraft manufacturing, automotive industries, and microelectronics has intensified, involving 69 enterprises. Meanwhile, a joint commission between Belarus and Russia’s Leningrad Oblast approved cooperation agreements for 2026–2027, focusing on power equipment, agricultural products, and the supply of approximately 2,000 pieces of machinery.
