Belarus modernizes military command systems amid Ukrainian warnings to Russia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced the completion of a modernized military communication system designed to maintain command and control during wartime. The new integrated system is intended to connect the military, internal troops, the KGB, and essential civilian structures, ensuring operational continuity even if standard communication networks are disrupted or attacked.

In a separate development regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, head of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, warned Russia that Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory will become deeper and more intense if military operations against Ukraine do not cease. Budanov noted that while Ukraine remains prepared for peace negotiations under acceptable conditions, it will not legally recognize the loss of occupied territories. He suggested that future negotiations could potentially involve a trilateral format including the United States.
