Beéle concert in Costa Rica canceled amid production and judicial investigations

Colombian singer Beéle’s scheduled concert at Parque Viva in Alajuela, Costa Rica, was canceled less than 24 hours before the event. The singer issued an apology via Instagram, stating the cancellation was beyond his control and promising to return to the country to provide the show fans expected.

Ticket provider Kuikpei confirmed the cancellation, citing extraordinary circumstances involving immigration issues and a judicial investigation linked to the event's production. The concert was organized by HBarboza Producciones, owned by promoter Hugo Benavides Barboza, who was arrested on October 7 as part of ‘Operation Éxodo.’

This ongoing investigation by the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) targets suspected money laundering connected to a criminal organization. While authorities are investigating whether illegal funds were invested in various entertainment events, they have not alleged that the Beéle concert itself was financed with illegal money, nor that the international artist is part of the investigation. Kuikpei stated they will work to ensure ticket holders receive refunds according to current regulations.
