Belen Rodriguez loses licence after omission of assistance charge in Milan crashes

Argentine showgirl Belen Rodriguez was charged with omission of assistance (omissione di soccorso) following two traffic incidents on 23 May in central Milan. In the first crash on via Melzi d'Eril her Land Rover Defender SUV struck the mirror of a parked car without stopping; minutes later, on via San Marco, the same vehicle hit two scooters and two parked cars, leaving three people with minor injuries.

Milan local police concluded the investigations, filed a criminal complaint and sent Rodriguez's driving licence to the prefecture for suspension. The case is now with the public prosecutor, who will decide whether to bring it to trial. Two days after the incidents, Rodriguez was rescued from her apartment by fire‑brigade and medical staff, hospitalized at the Policlinico di Milano, and discharged the following day. The legal process could affect her licence and possibly other personal matters, but no court dates have been set yet.
