Belenenses presidential elections scheduled for Saturday

Belenenses is set to hold presidential elections this coming Saturday at the Pavilhão Acácio Rosa. The vote, which will take place between 10:00 and 19:00, involves 6,481 members.

Two main candidates are competing for the presidency: Pedro Mascarenhas Santos (Lista A), running under the slogan ‘Belenenses, the rebirth of a colossus’, and the incumbent Patrick Morais de Carvalho (Lista B), who has held the position for 12 years and is campaigning under ‘Believe in Belenenses’.

During a recent debate, Mascarenhas Santos criticized the current administration, citing the decline of the club’s facilities and the relegation of junior teams, promising transparency and a push to return the club to the top leagues. Morais de Carvalho defended his tenure, noting that his administration successfully navigated a debt restructuring process involving €8.9 million paid to 280 creditors, and expressed motivation to continue the club's progress.
