Belfius Group to acquire digital insurer Leocare

Belfius Group, through its subsidiary Belfius Insurance, has announced the acquisition of the digital insurer Leocare. Founded in 2017, Leocare operates a 100% digital model for auto and home insurance, accessible via a mobile application.

Leocare offers tiered automobile insurance coverage, including a basic 'Tier' level for civil liability and essential protections, and an extended 'Tier plus' level that includes coverage for glass breakage, theft, and fire. The acquisition aims to expand the application currently used by 1.3 million subscribers.
