Belgian football clubs see major transfer activity

The Belgian football transfer market is seeing significant activity across various clubs. RSC Anderlecht has demonstrated substantial financial strength, spending approximately 28.6 million euros on eleven new players, including Romeo Amane, Lukas Ambros, and Oliver Antman. This spending is supported by roughly 65 million euros in transfer income and participation in the Europa League. Sporting director Antoine Sibierski has been praised for his discreet approach to recruitment, though some debate remains regarding the focus on foreign talent over domestic prospects.

Other notable moves include Cercle Brugge reaching an agreement to sell Ibrahima Diaby to Al Ahli SC for 13.5 million euros. In the player market, Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji has joined SK Beveren on a season-long loan from Real Salt Lake, while Zakaria El Ouahdi has completed a high-value transfer to Hamburger SV. Additionally, KRC Genk saw the departure of talent Konstantinos Karetsas to Borussia Dortmund for 30 million euros, despite a late interest from AC Milan.

On the pitch, KVC Westerlo secured a 4-0 victory over KV Mechelen, highlighted by a goal from Nikola Storm in his debut for the club.
