Belgian equestrian team prepares for 2026 FEI World Championships in Aachen
The Belgian equestrian delegation, known as the Red Musketeers, will travel to Aachen, Germany, for the FEI World Championships scheduled from 11 to 23 August 2026. The team will compete in all six disciplines—dressage, eventing, jumping, para‑dressage, voltige and four‑day eventing—under the leadership of chef de mission Wendy Laeremans and technical directors Evi Vereecke and Elise Van Gysel.
Aachen expects more than half a million visitors for the championship, surpassing its usual CHIO attendance. City officials, including Mayor Michael Ziemons, have prepared additional infrastructure and public‑viewing venues, while the event will also feature para‑dressage for the first time, aiming to increase visibility and inclusion in the sport.
