Belgian Falcons win historic bronze in 4x100m relay at European Championships

The Belgian Falcons secured a historic bronze medal in the men’s 4x100m relay at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The team, consisting of Ibrahim Camara, Emiel Botterman, Antoine Snyders, and Simon Verherstraeten, finished with a time of 38.70 seconds. This marks the first international medal for the Falcons project since its inception in 2022. Despite an early deficit in the race, the team climbed from eighth position to third, finishing behind Great Britain and Germany.

In the women’s 4x100m relay, the Belgian Rockets—comprising Rani Vincke, Rani Rosius, Janie De Naeyer, and Delphine Nkansa—finished in fifth place with a time of 43.41 seconds.

Additionally, the Belgian Tornados successfully qualified for the men’s 4x400m final after finishing second in their heats with a time of 2:59.35. The relay team included Jonathan Sacoor, Dylan Borlée, Julien Watrin, and Daniel Segers.
