Belgian FIFA Referee Frank De Bleker Leaves Azerbaijan Football Federation for Serbia

Frank De Bleker, a Belgian FIFA referee, concluded his tenure as head of the referees committee and senior adviser at the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA). During his two‑year service, he helped raise the level of Azerbaijani officiating, with two referees attaining UEFA Category 1 status and the country fielding four FIFA‑rated referees for the first time. In a thank‑you letter to AFFA, De Bleker wrote, “Working with the best referees in the country was an honor, and together we achieved historic milestones.” He will now assume the role of chair of the referees commission at the Serbian Football Federation, continuing his career in European football governance.
