Belgian football clubs outline seasonal ambitions

Belgian football clubs are outlining their strategic ambitions for the current season. Lommel SK chairman Harm Van Veldhoven stated that the club is not aiming to replicate the rapid rise of Union Saint-Gilloise. Instead, Lommel focuses on achieving stability in the top flight and providing a development platform for young players. Van Veldhoven emphasized that the club’s survival at this level is dependent on its partnership with the City Football Group.

Meanwhile, Club Brugge CEO Bob Madou reaffirmed the club's dual objectives: winning the Belgian championship and reaching the Champions League knockout stages. Madou dismissed suggestions that the club prioritizes the league playoffs over regular season performance, asserting that the team's goal is to succeed in both domestic and European competitions simultaneously.
