Belgian Man Steals Tractor in Bőszénfa, Hungary
In late July, police in Somogy County, Hungary, investigated a series of vehicle theft attempts in the village of Bőszénfa. A 35‑year‑old Belgian citizen tried to start two cars and a tractor without success, then succeeded with a fourth vehicle – a farm tractor – which he used to break through a garden gate and flee the scene.
Investigators quickly identified the suspect, tracked him to the nearby town of Lakócsá and arrested him. The stolen tractor was later found in the settlement of Teklafalu and returned to its rightful owner. The man is being charged with attempted vehicle theft, misuse of official identification numbers and a vehicle theft offence.
