Belgian men's field hockey Division d'Honneur season begins
The Belgian men's field hockey Division d'Honneur is set to begin its new season, featuring a dense schedule with nine points available over eight days starting in late September. The Waterloo Ducks, defending champions, will open their campaign against Braxgata, a primary title contender. While the Ducks have seen roster changes, including the departure of Victor Wegnez, they have added Lautaro Domene and Xavier Esmenjaud to their lineup.
Braxgata has also updated its squad, replacing Pirmin Blaak and Olivier Biekens with Loic Van Doren and Thomas Crols. Meanwhile, Gantoise aims to maintain its top-four status with the addition of three French internationals.
Namur returns to the Division d'Honneur for the fourth time in its history. Following previous struggles in the top tier, coach Maxime Bergez has focused on squad building to improve competitiveness. The team has integrated several new players, including goalkeeper Boris Feldheim and Argentine U21 world champion defender Bruno Stellato.
