Belgian Minister Praises King Mohammed VI's Vision for Morocco

Belgian state minister André Flahaut told the Maghreb Arab Press that Morocco, under King Mohammed VI, has maintained a steady development path built on a long‑term royal vision. He highlighted the kingdom’s institutional stability, economic growth and social cohesion, noting major upgrades in infrastructure, public facilities, education, health and social services. Flahaut said the Moroccan model shows that “with ambition and clear political will, strong development policies can be built even without oil resources,” contrasting it with austerity trends in several European countries.

The minister added that Morocco has become a trusted partner in Africa, describing the country as a “leading ship” for South‑South cooperation and a “balancing reference” on the continent. He praised the king’s proactive role in fostering regional dialogue, peace mediation and broader African development initiatives.
