Belgian retailers adopt AI-generated music in stores

Retail chains in Belgium are increasingly adopting music generated by artificial intelligence to play in their stores. According to reports from the Belgian public broadcaster VRT, the hardware store chain Brico has already begun replacing music performed by human artists with AI-generated compositions.

Carrefour is also moving in this direction. According to information cited by Mood Media, the retailer intends to implement similar solutions within its Belgian locations. The shift toward algorithmic music is driven by cost-effectiveness, as AI-generated tracks do not require royalty payments or involve labor disputes.
