Belgian series ‘The Big Fuck-Up’ arrives on VOYO

The Belgian crime series ‘The Big Fuck-Up’ (Totalna štala) has arrived on the VOYO streaming platform. Set in the 1980s, the eight-episode series follows Jan Laureysa, a young man who joins a specialized police unit targeting drug traffickers, only to find the lines between law enforcement and criminality blurring.

Created by Bas Adriaensen and Philippe De Schepper and directed by Wim Geudens, the show blends action, satire, and dark humor. The production received a world premiere at Canneseries 2025 and earned six nominations for the Ensors 2026 Belgian film and television awards, including Best Drama Series.

Director Wim Geudens described the series as having a tone inspired by the charisma of films like ‘Catch Me If You Can,’ focusing on characters who lack a moral compass. Lead actor Willem De Schryver portrays Jan as a narcissistic character who eventually faces the consequences of his actions.
