Belgian Summer Music Festivals Draw Tens of Thousands of Fans

Radio presenter Hugues Hamelynck highlighted three Belgian festivals for the summer. Tomorrowland will run over two weekends (July 17‑19 and July 24‑26) with a newly unveiled main stage called “Consciencia” and a lineup that includes Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Martin Garrix. The family‑friendly Les Gens d’Ere takes place in Tournai from July 23‑26, expects around 30,000 visitors and will feature artists such as Matt Pokora, Lorie and Cœur de Pirates. The Ronquières Festival, now in its 14th edition, is scheduled for August 7‑9 and will host Charlotte Cardin, Marguerite and Hooverphonic, plus nightly light‑mapping shows on the inclined plane.

Rock Werchter, another flagship Belgian event, attracts about 90,000 people each day for four days. Recent performances have included a Scottish singer’s comeback after a mental‑health break, techno icon Charlotte de Witte’s set that turned the venue into a massive dancefloor, and an atmospheric closing by The xx, underscoring Belgium’s prominent role in Europe’s live‑music scene.
