Belgian weather forecast predicts warm early August with possible local thunderstorms

Meteorologist David Dehenauw told Het Laatste Nieuws that the first two weeks of August in Belgium are expected to stay warm, with daily maximum temperatures ranging between 25 °C and 30 °C. The period will largely be sunny, but local rain or thunderstorm showers may develop in isolated areas, providing brief cooling.

A heatwave could be declared if at least five consecutive days record a maximum of 25 °C or higher in Ukkel, with three of those days reaching 30 °C or more. The forecast suggests the criteria may be met, but official confirmation will depend on the exact temperature readings and duration.
