Belgium food recalls issued for eggs and duck fillets

Authorities in Belgium have issued recalls for multiple food products due to potential Salmonella contamination.

Producer Laerco BV is withdrawing several batches of free-range eggs following consultation with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV). Consumers are advised not to consume eggs bearing the stamp codes 2-BE-1073-01, 2-BE-1073-02, 2-BE-1073-03, or 2-BE-1073-04. Affected products can be returned to the point of purchase for a full refund.

Separately, Colruyt has removed marinated duck fillets from its shelves. The recall affects approximately 350g packages with a best-before date of August 18, 2026, and article number 28243. The contamination was detected during an internal supplier inspection. Customers holding the affected product are urged not to eat it and may return it to the store for a refund.
