Belgium man discovers rare seven-leaf clover
Jeff Bauverarts discovered a rare seven-leaf clover while walking his dog through fields and farms in Wilweren, near Birsée in northeastern Belgium. Bauverarts noted that while he has frequently found four, five, and six-leaf clovers, he had never encountered a seven-leaf specimen before.
The odds of finding such a clover are estimated to be approximately one in 250 million. Bauverarts initially suspected the find might be two four-leaf clovers stuck together, but upon closer inspection, confirmed it was a single plant. He has kept the clover in a glass of water at his home to preserve it.
