Belgium Motocross of Nations Team Announced for 2026 Ernée Event

Belgium's national motocross squad for the 79th Motocross of Nations was confirmed for the October 3‑4, 2026 competition in Ernée, France. The lineup features brothers Lucas Coenen in the MXGP class and Sacha Coenen in MX2, with Liam Everts competing in the Open category. Reserve riders Jago Geerts and Brent Van Doninck stand ready to replace any starter if needed.

The team, which finished fourth at the previous edition, aims for a podium finish and a challenge for the Chamberlain Trophy. Belgium has six overall victories in the event's history, most recently in 2013. Lucas Coenen's fitness will be closely watched after an injury forced his withdrawal from the MXGP of Lommel earlier in the season.
