Belgium Prime Minister Bart De Wever to visit India for bilateral talks

Belgium Prime Minister Bart De Wever is scheduled to conduct an official visit to India from September 2 to 4. This marks his first visit to the country since assuming office in February of last year.

During the visit, De Wever will hold bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 3 to discuss bilateral relations, regional issues, and global matters of mutual interest. The Belgian delegation will also include Defence Minister Theo Francken. In New Delhi, De Wever is set to deliver a keynote address at a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) event regarding the India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Following his engagements in New Delhi, the Prime Minister will travel to Mumbai to meet with stakeholders in the diamond, ports, and logistics sectors. The Ministry of External Affairs noted that the visit aims to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, defence, security, technology, renewable energy, and connectivity.
