Belgium stages dramatic comeback to beat Senegal and reach World Cup last 16

Belgium overturned a 2–0 deficit against Senegal in the World Cup round of 32 match at Seattle's Lumen Field. Romelu Lukaku headed in the winner in the 86th minute after Youri Tielemans equalised two minutes earlier, and a VAR‑awarded penalty converted by Tielemans in the 125th minute secured a 3–2 victory after extra time.

Coach Rudi Garcia’s halftime changes, including bringing Lukaku off the bench and substituting Kevin De Bruyne and Jérémy Doku, were credited with shifting the momentum. The win sends Belgium to a last‑16 clash with co‑host United States.
