Belgium to hold Armistice and All Saints' Day commemorations
Various municipalities in Belgium have announced schedules for upcoming commemorations for All Saints' Day on November 1 and the Armistice on November 11. These events aim to honor war victims and promote values of peace, democracy, and tolerance.
In Asse, ceremonies will include services at St. Martinus Church and St. Bavokerk, followed by processions and tributes at local cemeteries. Zoutleeuw, in collaboration with the Last Flight Memorial Committee, will hold All Saints' Day observances at the Zoutleeuw cemetery and Armistice commemorations involving a procession from Helen to the Freedom Monument in Zoutleeuw.
Other scheduled tributes include ceremonies in Walfergem, Asse-centrum, Relegem, Bekkerzeel, and Mollem. Local authorities have noted specific traffic and parking restrictions in Asse, Zellik, and Relegem to accommodate the processions and ceremonies.
