Belgrade announces Autokomanda reconstruction; Pančevo military facility renovated
The City of Belgrade has launched a public tender for the reconstruction of the Autokomanda interchange, specifically the Bokeljska loop and surrounding roads. The project, valued at approximately 1.485 billion dinars, includes technical documentation and project control. Planned improvements involve replacing existing intersections with multi-lane roundabouts and constructing a bypass to facilitate direct connections from Bulevar oslobođenja toward Novi Beograd.
Additionally, the 72nd Brigade for Special Operations has received a fully renovated facility at the ‘Rastko Nemanjić’ barracks in Pančevo. The project involved upgrading a 1,450-square-meter building constructed in the 1970s, significantly improving energy efficiency and modernizing electrical, water, and internet installations to meet contemporary standards for professional soldiers and conscripts.
