Belgrade Drama Theatre hosts Jagoš Marković memorial week

The Belgrade Drama Theatre is organizing ‘Jagoš’s Week’, a program dedicated to the memory of Jagoš Marković, one of the region’s most significant theater directors. The event begins on September 22, marking the anniversary of Marković’s death.

Over six evenings, the theater will host various productions directed by Marković. The program opens on September 22 with ‘Sumnjivo lice’ by the National Theatre Sombor. On September 23, the Tivat Cultural Center will present ‘Filomena Marturano’. The Belgrade Drama Theatre will then perform ‘Sumrak bogova’ on September 24 and 25, followed by ‘Divlje meso’ on September 26 and 27.

Most performances will take place on the Main Stage at 19:30, except for ‘Sumrak bogova’, which will be held on the Small Stage at 20:00. Following each performance, discussions regarding the plays and Marković’s artistic legacy will be held at the Belgrade Drama Theatre Club, open to both the public and the media.
