Belgrade heating system probes scheduled for October 1–8

JKP Beogradske elektrane has announced that functional probes of the district heating system in Belgrade will take place from October 1 to October 8. These tests are part of the final preparations for the upcoming heating season, which is officially scheduled to begin on October 15.

The probes will involve testing 14 heating plants, 15 boiler rooms, the heating network, and heat transfer stations. The goal is to ensure that production and distribution facilities are fully prepared for the winter season.

Officials emphasized that these are functional probes, not “warm probes,” meaning they do not involve the actual delivery of thermal energy to buildings. The system is being tested in a cold-dynamic mode. Consequently, residents are urged not to report cold radiators to the Belgrade City Service Center (11-0-11) during this period. However, citizens should still report any water leaks from their internal heating installations.
