Belgrade hosts French musical premiere and BEMUS opera gala

Belgrade is hosting significant musical events this autumn. The French musical-opera ‘Molière, l’Opéra Urbain’ is scheduled to perform at the Sava Centar on October 30 and 31, 2026. This production, which was named the best original musical in France in 2023, blends 17th-century themes with modern pop culture, including rap and slam poetry.

Additionally, the 58th Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS) will open on October 17 with a gala concert at the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment. The concert features Russian opera stars, including soprano Tatjana Pavlovskaja, and will be conducted by Dušan Vilić. The program focuses on works by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov, with a special emphasis on Tchaikovsky’s ‘Jolanta’.
