Belgrade International Book Fair to feature Tunisia as guest of honor

The 69th Belgrade International Book Fair is scheduled to take place from October 23 to 31 at the Belgrade Fair halls. Operating under the slogan ‘Words Build the World’, the event will feature Tunisia as its guest of honor, showcasing the nation's literary and cultural traditions.

The fair will highlight several significant anniversaries in Serbian literature and culture, including the 200th anniversary of Ljubomir Nenadović's birth and the 150th anniversaries of Milan Rakić and Borisav Stanković. It will also celebrate milestones for institutions such as Matica srpska (200 years) and the ‘Svetozar Marković’ University Library (100 years).

In a separate announcement, the Pčelica Publishing House will host its own large online book fair from October 12 to November 1, 2026. Because the publisher will not participate in the Belgrade Book Fair this year, it is offering discounts of up to 60% on its website and organizing author meet-and-greets at various locations across Serbia.
