Belgrade International Book Fair to host Tunisia and Republika Srpska

The 69th Belgrade International Book Fair is scheduled to take place from October 23 to October 31, 2026, under the slogan ‘Words Build the World’. The event will feature over 300 direct exhibitors and approximately 700 total participants. Tunisia will serve as the guest of honor, with academic Mabrouk Manaï set to address the opening.

Republika Srpska will also participate for the 16th time, presenting under the slogan ‘To Exist. To Carry Identity’. This presentation is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Ivo Andrić receiving the Nobel Prize. The program includes lectures on Andrić’s linguistic style and various cultural presentations from universities, museums, and publishing houses.

Other highlights of the fair include School Day on October 29, where awards will be presented to successful publishers, and the official handover of the ‘Open Book’ to the guest of honor for the 70th anniversary, the United Arab Emirates.
