Legal developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia

Several legal and judicial developments are occurring across Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. In Bosnia, the construction giant Hidrogradnja Sarajevo has been put up for sale again for 88 million KM after a previous buyer failed to pay within the deadline. Additionally, the Court of BiH has postponed the prison sentence of Vojin Pavlović, who was convicted of inciting national and religious hatred for glorifying war criminal Ratko Mladić and denying the Srebrenica genocide, until mid-January 2027 due to his health.

In Bosnia, an indictment has been confirmed against former Autoceste FBiH director Elmedin Voloder and others for alleged corruption involving land expropriation and the establishment of a landfill, causing estimated damages of 2.5 million KM.

In Serbia, the Belgrade Prosecutor's Office has appealed a court decision that replaced the detention of three suspects in the Senjak restaurant murder case with house arrest and electronic monitoring. The prosecution argues the suspects could obstruct the investigation, particularly as the murder weapon has not been found. Separately, a public executor in Belgrade, Aleksandar R., faces charges for allegedly abusing his position by handing over property to a buyer that was not part of the official sale.
