Belgrade to host 20th Southeast Europe agriculture ministers meeting

Belgrade will host the 20th annual working meeting of agriculture ministers from Southeast Europe on September 30. The summit will bring together ministers and heads of delegations from across the region to engage in high-level discussions regarding the future of agriculture and rural development.

The agenda focuses on progress concerning the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the IPARD program, and European integration. Participants will also address climate change challenges and fire risks in the Western Balkans, while reviewing regional cooperation within the framework of the Standing Working Group (SWG).

The meeting aims to explore strategic partnerships for capacity building and will consider the role of the Berlin Process in aligning agricultural and rural development policies. The event, co-organized by the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the SWG, is expected to conclude with the adoption of joint ministerial conclusions.
