Belgrade's City Cleanliness Service Begins Mosquito Control

On Tuesday, 4 August, the public utility JKP Gradska čistoća Beograd will carry out adult mosquito control in Belgrade. The operation will cover neighborhoods including Borča, Braća Marić, Mali Raj, Kotež, Popova bara, Mali Zbeg, Borča Pretok, Partizanski blok, Padinska skela, Grga Andrijanović, Sava Kovačević and Stara Borča. Treatments are scheduled between 22:00 and 01:00 and will only proceed if weather conditions allow – no rain, suitable temperature and wind strength.

The teams will use thermal and cold fogging with biocidal products registered by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Residents are asked to keep windows closed, eliminate standing water in containers, protect bees, and report any increase in mosquito numbers via the city service phone line (011‑0‑11), email addresses, or the official Instagram account @gradska_cistoca_beograd. If conditions remain favorable, similar actions will continue in the following days.
