Belgrade's Festival Južnog Vetra adds second sold‑out concert date

The "Festival južnog vetra" concert, slated for 27 June at Belgrade's Tašmajdan Stadium, sold out in less than a month, prompting organizers to add an additional show on 26 June. Thousands of fans from Serbia, the region and abroad sought tickets, leading to a flood of requests through social media, phone and email. All originally announced performers will appear at both evenings.

Singer Suzana Jovanović, a hallmark of the 1990s Južnog Vetra movement, will return to the stage after a 27‑year hiatus, marking a highly emotional comeback. In her announcement she wrote, “Dragi moji poštovaoci Južnog vetra, velika mi je čast i zadovoljstvo… we will gather on 26. and 27. June.” The added date gives those who missed the first show a chance to experience the nostalgic hits that defined a generation of Balkan music.

The two‑night event is being hailed as a historic moment for domestic music, drawing thousands of attendees and cementing the festival’s status as a landmark cultural occasion in Serbia.
