Belgrano Norte: Infrastructure contract awarded for track renewal

Trenes Argentinos Infraestructura has awarded a contract to the Spanish company Voestalpine Railway Systems JEZ for the purchase of 18 track switches (ADV) for the Belgrano Norte line. These components will be used to renew installations in Del Viso, Villa Rosa, Los Polvorines, Munro, and Aristóbulo del Valle.

The procurement aims to replace equipment that does not meet operational safety standards, with the goal of improving train speeds and passenger safety and comfort. The contract includes preliminary surveying, material provision, removal of existing installations, placement of new switches, and track machining.

While the equipment purchase was awarded to Voestalpine, the installation work has been pre-awarded to Induvía. This acquisition is part of a larger package of six tenders driven by the company under the framework of the extended Railway Emergency status.
