Belind Këlliçi criticizes Albanian Socialist Party deputies

Belind Këlliçi, a deputy from the Democratic Party, has criticized members of the Socialist Party for what she describes as double standards. Këlliçi claims that while some Socialist deputies have demanded accountability regarding the transfer of arrested Tirana Mayor Erion Velia to a prison in Fier, they remained silent regarding the alleged mistreatment of young protesters.

Këlliçi alleges that hundreds of minors, students, and young people were subjected to violence, including being beaten and detained by police during recent protests in Tirana. She asserts that these deputies failed to speak up when youth were allegedly detained in various districts or subjected to what she characterizes as torture by police forces.
