Belize Bank Gives Full Scholarships to 16 Students at Annual Ceremony

Belize Bank Limited held its 14th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony in Belize City, honoring 16 outstanding students from across Belize. Ten high‑school scholars received four‑year full‑ride support and six sixth‑form scholars received two‑year assistance, covering tuition, fees, books, supplies and one‑on‑one mentorship with bank professionals. The program, now supporting 230 Belizean youths since its inception, was highlighted by Executive Chairman and CEO Filippo Alario, who emphasized the bank’s commitment to education and community development. Hon. Ramon Cervantes, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, delivered the keynote address, stressing the transformative power of accessible education. Among the recipients is 18‑year‑old Aliza Doniz, who shared her aspirations to work with children and teenagers.
