Belize promotes Green Season tourism and nature experiences

Belize is promoting its ‘Green Season,’ a period between August and November characterized by increased rainfall that transforms the country’s jungles, rivers, and waterfalls. The Belize Tourism Board utilizes this season to offer travel experiences with lower visitor density and special promotions, with some accommodations offering discounts of up to 30%.

To target the Latin American market, the Belize Tourism Board has launched a joint campaign with Copa Airlines specifically for travelers from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Peru for the 2026 Green Season.

In addition to mainland nature experiences, locations such as South Water Caye offer quiet access to the Belize Barrier Reef. During the period leading into the busy winter season, such as late October and early November, these areas provide a more tranquil environment for activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
